Porch View Dances (PVD) is an award-winning community dance festival that engages everyday people as creators, storytellers and performers – many of whom have never danced before. Audience members travel from house to house to see new dance works created by professional choreographers and performed by local families in the front yards, and porches of their own homes. PVD is the vision of Karen Kaeja and developed with Allen Kaeja.
Led by a tour guide through the winding streets of Seaton Village, audiences witness the stories of the neighborhood unfold through dance and music. The event will end with an invitation to participate in Karen Kaeja’s gentle audience inclusive Flock Landing, welcoming to all ages, skill levels and abilities!

"RATED R is a potent, socially charged double bill that challenges social perceptions. Conceived and choreographed by Aria Evans, this double bill of physically dynamic works is relevant, timely and raw. Aria’s work at last year’s SummerWorks (Desiccated) was applauded for ‘its powerful message and flawless execution…(an) all-time favourite SummerWorks Performance Festival dance production.”

"Jasmyn Fyffe, a Fringe favourite" ... The Toronto Star
The brand new commission from Dance Ontario, 'Pulse' was a part of Dance Ontario Dance Weekend 2012
... Inspired by her love for the soul music of the 60's and 70's, Jasmyn has set ‘Pulse’ on ten dynamic dancers. This piece explores our natural affinity for human interaction and touch and our sometimes complex, social behaviour. Composer, Robert Kingsbury, created an original score for the work. He is also a dancer with Dancetheatre David Earle and is the 2011 Premier's Award recipient for New or Emerging Individual Talent.
